December 17, 2017 – This week Pastor Mike Dorough leads us through a study on “the Name above every other name…the Name of Jesus!”.  Jesus the name itself means “Jehova is salvation”, hence the meaning Jesus being referred to as savior, but in reality it’s so much more than just a name…the Name of Jesus is a symbol of God’s faithfulness to everyone and His love and desire for us to be with Him.  Jesus is an encouragement to sinners that are weighted down with burden.  Jesus is a name that is especially precious to believers that Jesus was sent here not to condemn us, but instead to redeem and save us.  He is our Lord and our God and he gave us His most precious gift…Jesus and all that comes with that Name!

  1. Jesus is a Name for pure and righteous people  Luke 1:26-28; Matthew 1:18-21; 1 Peter 1:16
  2. Jesus is a Name for wealthy and intelligent people. Matthew 2:1-11
  3. Jesus is a Name for poor and humble people.  Luke 2:1-7, 8-20
  4. Jesus is a Name for sinful people.  John 8:1-11; John 19:1-10; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23
  5. Jesus is a Name for all people.  John 3:16; Romans 10:13; Acts 4:12
